A lovely holiday in one of the best cottages we have stayed in, cosy, well equipped and lots of walks close by. We were lucky with dry, warm weather all week. Staffa tours from Tobermory well worth the experience puffins were great and Fingals cave. Tobermory Bakery and the Pier cafe great for lunch and teas and coffees. Fish Cafe worth a visit. |

The Kaczynski Family from Edinburgh New Year 2011 |
"We are a family of four and we had a great week's holiday staying in
Ploughman's Cottage. The cottage is beautifully kitted out and the large
dining/kitchen was great for preparing and having dinner with friends. The
weather wasn't great so the cottage being so well appointed was a real
bonus. John and Hylda couldn't have been more hospitable and my son still
talks about his visit to John's workshop. We will be back."

“We stayed in Ploughman’s Cottage with 2 friends and found it to be well equipped, lovely and warm, with plenty of hot water. We especially liked having en-suite bathrooms (note one bedroom is twin beds). (ziplink kingsize for 2012) The kitchen was spacious and had everything that we needed and the lounge was very comfortable with sufficient seating for all of us. Ploughman’s is within walking distance of all the facilities of Tobermory. We’ve already booked again for next year”. |

We had a wonderful time at The Ploughmans Cottage which is in a great location just ten minutes walk from the centre of town. No need to take the car if you want to enjoy fine dining and a glass or two of wine. The cottage is bright with a new feel and very cosy. It has everything you would want in a holiday cottage – fabulous kitchen so well equipped with lovely dining furniture – lovely lounge with a cosy would burning fire – very comfortable beds and what we loved most was the beautiful bathrooms with huge deep baths. We would highly recommend Baliscate. John and Hylda are so welcoming. |

"My daughter and I visited the Isle of Mull summer (2011) for two weeks staying at the Ploughman's Cottage in Tobermory. Like most people booking accommodation blind you are never really sure if the accommodation will live up to your expectations, but we need not have worried, as we could not fault the lovely cottage and the warm welcome that we received. The cottage was spacious, immaculately clean and tidy with everything we could possibly have needed to make our holiday the best that we have had in years. I have travelled much around Europe and have stayed in many 4* hotels that have not come close to the standard attained here by the proprietors and I know, without hesitation, we will be back." |

"A lovely cosy cottage in a discrete location close to the centre of Tobermory. Perfect for a walk into town for a wee dram and as a comfortable base to return to after watching the islands abundant wildlife. We have booked again for the same week in 2012" |

"We had a fantastic week staying in the Ploughman's cottage. It really is a home from home. The kitchen is very spacious, well equipped with high quality furniture. The bathrooms are brilliant - big deep baths with lots of hot water! Great to come back to after a long walk! The bedrooms are comfortable with lots of storage space. The living room is cosy with a good size tv. It wasn't cold enough to use the log fire but that must be lovely on cold evenings. There is full central heating as well. The private garden is full of flowers and very peaceful - you can watch the hens parade around! The location of the cottage is excellent - a few minutes drive into Tobermory or a short walk. The cottage is off a lane, away from the road so is very quiet at night. John and Hylda are on hand if you need anything. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine and shortbread - a nice touch! I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and hope to come again myself. It is perfect for a family with children, two couples or, as we were, just the two of us!" |

"Gail, Abbey, Scott & I had a great stay at Easter 2011. The cottage is well appointed & finished to a very high standard with nice gardens. Also allowed for leisurely walks into Tobermory or to the gallery and restaurant at the end of the drive. Well worth a visit. Thanks for a great relaxing holiday. " |
